We’re Proud to Announce Philly Give Camp Sponsorship
The new year is a welcome reminder to give back to the community in any way we can. So to start the year out, we’re proud to announce sponsorship of Windows Cloud Hosting for Philly Give Camp, a weekend-long event where software developers, designers and database administrators donate their time to create custom software for non-profit organizations.
From January 17th through the 19th, we will support the Philadelphia development community at the Malvern, Pennsylvania Microsoft Office for a weekend of giving. The event will benefit local nonprofits by helping to create software solutions to transform the way they, in turn, serve others. The last Philly Give Camp event featured 15 participating nonprofit organizations, 91 volunteers, 18 projects and resulted in a donation of roughly $400,000 worth of services.
“Give Camp is about making an impact in our community by providing charities small or large with Information Technology skills,” said Ashneet Gujral, Delivery Lead at CIGNA. “The Philly Give Camp chapter serves the Philadelphia region and has done so over two years in a row. Within that time, Applied Innovations has been a key partner by providing the Camp’s charities with hosting services at no cost. By providing these services, AppliedI has continually made an impact in our community. With that, we thank AppliedI on behalf of the charities we serve and will be serving for constantly supporting us and making this event happen.”
Applied Innovations will be donating a year of free windows web hosting at the 4th Philly Give Camp next month. Not a developer? You can still help! A lot of work needs to be completed prior to the event to ensure it is properly organized. You can volunteer to help set out food, stock the refrigerator, clean, blog, podcast and more. Philly Give Camp is also in need of web designers to help make websites look great.
