- Of the world’s 4 billion mobile phones in use, over 1 billion – about 27% — are smartphones.

- Given current growth rates, web access via laptops and smart mobile devices is projected to exceed that from desktop computers by as early as 2014.

- Over 70% of smartphone users that view an ad in online or traditional (TV, magazine, etc.) media subsequently do a mobile search for more information, but almost 80% of large online advertisers still do not have a mobile optimized site.
